If it’s a career in the great outdoors you want, studying with Solihull College & University Centre could be the stepping stone you need.

Our beautiful historic and tranquil walled gardens have been designed to provide our horticulture students with the opportunity to grow and identify plants, maintain grounds, and carry out conservation projects.

We also have a fantastic all-weather barn to accommodate students’ practical work and projects, allowing them to study come rain or shine. Other onsite facilities include green houses, composting areas and poly tunnels.

After completing the Level 1 and Level 2 Diploma, students can progress onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Horticulture where they can get the best of both worlds – learning the necessary skills on the job whilst gaining industry recognised qualifications at the same time.

Discover the College’s courses for yourself at our next ‘Try it’ Open Event.

We also offer a range of apprenticeships in this subject.
