Where will this course lead?

The Foundation Degree in Business and Management Practice provides a practical business education programme for students who wish to study at Higher Education level in their local area. Designed in cooperation with and supported by employers, the programme has a strong focus on employability skills appropriate to the workplace. Critical to this programme is the opportunity for work-based learning to take place, combining academic knowledge with real life business scenarios.

The aim of the programme is to prepare individuals and organisations to meet the challenge of a continually changing environment. We do this in many different ways, but key to our success is the development within our undergraduate programmes of skills, competences and attitudes which are of immediate value in the busy business world alongside the more traditional academic skills such as research, analysis and reasoned argument. These will serve you well in whatever direction your career takes you.

There is the opportunity for students to progress on to a further year of study in order to complete a full Honours Degree. The minimum entry requirement for progression to the BA (Hons) Business and Management Practice Level 6 'Top-Up' year is a Pass in this Foundation Degree programme. However, a typical offer will be conditional upon an average of at least 55% over the Level 5 modules of the programme.

The qualification will also provide you a broad range of business skills which will enable you to progress in your career now and in the future.
