This course is offered through our Microsoft IT Academy at Solihull College, with workshops with individual lab facilities, supported by tutors.
Study materials includes online labs and study resources to support independent study and lab facilities both in college and at home.
Due to restrictions imposed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is highly likely that the course delivery will be changed to a 'blended learning' study experience. We envisage that this will take the form of a combination of 'in-college workshops'; 'self-directed learning'; 'distance workshops' and 'distance tutor support'. As you may appreciate the guidance is continually changing, so the proportion and mix of learning styles may change through the course. In-college workshops and face-face study will only be undertaken when and in a format that is safe to do so, in line with government advise at the time.
To facilitate effective distance learning Solihull college has invested in a range of on-line resources which includes, student virtual PC's, Microsoft Teams used for distance workshops & tutor support, Microsoft Azure for on-line labs, Moodle for on-line learning resources and student Office 365. These facilities will enable us to provide an equivalent class-based experience, with student-tutor and student-student interaction but in a safe and effective environment.
This course is available to study either in the daytime or evening, over 10 sessions. Learners may re-enrol on course to extend their period of study.
