Where will this course lead?

This course introduces you to the subject of answering the question 'What is Mindfulness'. We look at the benefits of mindfulness in significantly reducing symptoms of stress, anxiety and other various disorders. We will look at the practice of being aware in every possible moment, whilst keeping a non-judgemental outlook and at the same time observing your own bodily and emotional responses. This course is for personal enrichment.

What will I study?

Over the duration of the course, we will ask the question 'What is Mindfulness' and then explore this further. We look at the three concepts of mindfulness; how mindfulness can help to reduce stress or anxiety and how we can use it as a self-management tool. We will also look at how it can complement other treatment options for a variety of other medical conditions.
