What will I study?

Students will engage in a series of workshops exploring acting and performance techniques.  

Each week students explore the disciplines and creative skills of live theatre performance.

Our Acting Skills course offers an introduction to acting in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. This course provides the chance to explore acting technique in a playful, accessible and practical way.

Whether you are an aspiring performer; wish to revitalise your creativity; or simply want to try something new and build self-confidence, you will find this course active, fun and rewarding.

Each class will provide plenty of opportunity to practise your new acting skills under the friendly guidance of an experienced tutor, ensuring you feel comfortable and get the most out of your course.

The course will end with an informal sharing of performance work.

How will this course be delivered?

Ten weekly two hour sessions

Exact course content may differ according to the course length and students' needs. Topics covered include:

- Group exercises, drama games and improvisation
- Acting technique
- Understanding and developing characters
- Rehearsing a scene from a play
