Where will this course lead?

The Access to HE Diploma is a full Level 3 qualification designed to prepare adult learners for entry into Higher Education (HE). Highly respected and acknowledged throughout both the Further Education (FE) and HE sectors, Access to HE Diplomas provide the knowledge and skills needed to progress to Level 4 study at University or College and enable learners who may be lacking in confidence, or who have other commitments to succeed in Higher Education

The aim of this particular qualification is to prepare learners to work with children between birth and eight years in an educational setting.

This course is college based with a block work placement.

What qualifications will I get?

 Access to Higher Education Diploma (Early Years Education)

How will I be assessed?

All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. The units are graded pass, merit or distinction.

How do I get a place on the course?

Places are offered by interview depending on your experience, English and maths GCSE grades (or equivalent), written assessment and a good reference.

What are the entry requirements?

- GCSE C/4 English Language
- GCSE C/4 Mathematics

What else do I need to know?

All students intending to work with children will need to complete a DBS check (£44). You will also need to arrange a placement in a school or nursery.
