Where will this course lead?

A technologically focused degree aimed at providing students with a rounded understanding of Computing systems employed within Industry. This course considers how business drives the demand for technology and how technology supports new areas of business. Students will study the development of cutting-edge web sites, investigate the interactivity in modern interface design, analyse commercial activities and the processes within project management.

This is a full, 3 year degree which covers levels 4, 5 and 6.

How will this course be delivered?

This is an undergraduate degree. There will be Full Time and Part Time provision, subject to approval.

What qualifications will I get?

A BSc (Hons) Degree awarded by Newman University.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is via course work and examination.

How do I get a place on the course?

Complete an application form online which will then be followed by an interview.

What are the entry requirements?

A minimum of 200 UCAS points and/or a BTEC Extended Diploma with an overall grade of DMM. You will also need English Language and Mathematics GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or a recognised equivalent. There will be some flexibility for apprentices and mature students with relevant experience.

What else do I need to know?

This course offers students the opportunity to study additionally where students are encouraged to work towards vendor specific qualifications within their program of study, such as MCTS, MCAS (Microsoft Certified Technology / Application Specialist).

Other specialised qualifications may also be studied such as the CISCO CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry) or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) awards.

Other vendor specific qualifications may also be studied via e-learning on request.
