Solihull College gives opportunities to aspiring decorators
Tuesday, 15 September, 2015

Solihull College & University Centre’s decorating provision is still open for enrolment and giving students who are looking to start their career in the decorating industry the chance to study towards their qualifications.

The college is welcoming new aspiring decorators and they have recently taken on many new decorating apprentices and are expecting to be able to welcome many more in the coming weeks. Solihull College & University Centre, which is one of few colleges offering such courses in the region, has been able to assist students who wanted to complete their qualifications as well as those who are just starting their course by offering places on decorating apprenticeships.

Apprentices can begin on a level 2 intermediate apprenticeship with the college in decorating as well as other areas in construction such as plastering and carpentry. On completion of the level 2 qualification apprentices can then move on to complete the level 3 advanced apprenticeship; both qualifications will give the apprentices the necessary skills and experience to progress into their chosen field and find full-time employment.

The college works with many employers in areas such as construction across the region to allow apprentices to gain the relevant and necessary work experience within their industry.

As well as providing students with apprenticeships Solihull College & University Centre has a variety of courses on offer for school leavers, adult learners and university level learners to ensure all ages and levels are catered for.

For more information on the courses available visit www.solihull.ac.uk or call 0121 678 7000.
