Work experience success for photography student Taylor
Tuesday, 5 April, 2016

Solihull College & University Centre student Taylor Paige Pearson secured work experience at Prestige Photography as part of her course. Students have to complete 30 hours of work experience over the course of the year as part of their qualification at Solihull College but Taylor has gone one step further.

After starting work experience at Prestige Photography Taylor has impressed so much so that she has been asked to continue her work experience and add to her industry knowledge and experience at the photographers.

Taylor comments: “I have learned a lot of things which relate back to my course. The team at Prestige photography are fantastic and are very welcoming.  Not only I have learnt a lot, but I have been able to see what goes on in the studio and what happens on a day to day basis and actually see how a company like Prestige is run, which is an eye opener.”

Taylor has been able to develop her skills both in college and whilst on work experience and is really enjoying her work experience at Prestige and feels inspired by the work they do.

Taylor states: “A lot of people say photography is just a camera but it really isn’t there is a lot more to photography and a company like Prestige can show you. Doing my work experience at Prestige is amazing and I enjoy attending these sessions once a week. I am pleased to say every time I leave Prestige I can say that I have learnt something different which is a good thing, as I will take my experience that I have learnt along with me to progress further in the future.”

Solihull College & University Centre supports students to find work experience placements which are relevant to their course and will help them to progress within their careers upon completion of their qualification.
