What will I study?

 This Art for Well-Being course is designed to promote creativity, relaxation, and self-expression through creating an art journal. This course is suitable for individuals of all skill levels who wish to explore art as a means of improving mental well-being, reducing stress, and fostering personal growth. This course has a focus on well-being, if you would like to learn professional techniques please consider our watercolour or painting for leisure courses.

Course Objectives:

  • Encourage self-expression through art
  • Develop mindfulness and relaxation techniques using art
  • Enhance emotional well-being through creative activities
  • Build confidence in artistic skills without pressure or judgment
  • Foster a sense of community and connection through shared creativity

You will need to bring a A3 or A4 mixed media pad that is suitable for painting and other activities.  

This course will show you how to use art as a means of relaxation and escapism whilst learning new skills.

No formal qualifications 

How will I be assessed?

Teacher will be monitoring progress every lesson to help ensure students can achieve.
