What will I study?

Traditional Christmas designs using seasonal materials to include door wreaths and garlands.

How will this course be delivered?

This is a practical based course, the tutor will demonstrate what is needed for each design, so that you will know what is required for each week. You will make your designs in the classroom with support and guidance from the tutor.

What qualifications will I get?

This is a personal development course.

How will I be assessed?

This course is for personal development and is informally assessed by the tutor with self-assessment and evaluation by the student.

What are the entry requirements?

Students should be age 19+

What else do I need to know?

Students need to bring their own flowers, foliage, and containers etc. Students will also need to supply their own floristry tools such as scissors, knives, ribbons, wires, and tapes. Over time they will build up a work box which will be needed most weeks. 

Please note: Materials are not supplied for Cakes, Flowers/Floristry, Textiles, Soft Furnishings, Homemade Crafts, Calligraphy, Art, Cookery, Tiling, Painting & Decorating, Sewing or Dressmaking.

This course will run subject to a minimum class size.

What can I do after this course?

We also offer a range of craft courses for adults, as well as Wider Family Learning courses designed for adults and children to learn together.
