An academic reference from your last educational institution will also be called upon and the content of this reference should on the whole be quite favourable (re attendance, punctuality, behaviour, etc).
If you have any learning difficulty or disability, please let us know when you apply. You will be offered support in your interview and during the course.
The course runs from September to June.
It is expected that students will be on time and attend all timetabled sessions.
The target for all students is 100% attendance at all timetabled sessions. The importance of this target and of arriving promptly for each class will be discussed during the induction period.
You will need to arrange your own work placement (minimum of 30 hours across the whole of the academic year) during the autumn term so that it can be completed later on in the academic year.
You will be expected to dress formally every day. This will be discussed during the interview process.
On completion of the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2), we will actively encourage you to enter the workplace and combine work with further part time study. You will have the knowledge and skills for many positions in an accounting / financial / business environment.
