The following topics will be covered in the course:

  • Recognize H & S, tools, materials and equipment
  • Different bonds and mortar ratios
  • Foundations, types and size
  • Building regulations and planning requirements
  • Laying bricks to a line in stretcher bond
  • Building a corner with a damp proof course
  • Building a cavity wall in brick and blocks
  • Laying a course of brick on edge
  • Different pointing / jointing methods

How will this course be delivered?

This is a 3 day workshop delivered by an experienced builder - you need to attend all 3 days.

You must be 19 years or older to join the course - Adults only
