Friday, 6 July, 2018

Entry 3 level group foundation motor vehicle students enjoyed an enrichment day out at Team Sport Go Karting in Birmingham recently.

The group were celebrating the end of the academic year and attaining the highest attendance in the motor vehicle department.

The karting was a great teambuilding activity and instilled competitive spirits within each learner which was enjoyed by all.

Tutor Amjad Mahmood commented ‘The Entry group has worked hard this academic year and this trip was an acknowledgement of their continuous efforts. It has been a pleasure to teach them all and I am very proud of their achievements’.

Motor Vehicle is a popular subject area at Solihull College & University Centre and the department are hosting a taster event at Woodlands campus on Monday 9th July between 2 and 5pm.

The event is aimed at Year 11 students who are interested in studying motor vehicle next year and are yet to make a decision about where they are studying in September. The event is on a drop-in basis and there is no need to pre-book. Students can come along and take part in taster activities, have a go at elements of the course and ask further questions. Students can also apply for the course on the day if they wish.
