College celebrates apprentice and adult student excellence

26th June 2026

An inspiring awards ceremony hosted by Solihull College & University Centre recently brought together apprentices, adult students, employers and educators to celebrate excellence and achievement across the community.

The event highlighted the dedication, talent and hard work of individuals and organisations committed to developing skills and creating opportunities. Attendees gathered for a celebration of recognition, with Councillor Sardul Singh Marwa MBE JP, the Mayor of Solihull in attendance to show support.

The event showcased some of the work created by students, bringing to life the skills learned over the past academic year. The ceremony also celebrated how apprentices have brought value to their respective organisations, and the support they have received from the College’s fantastic employer partners.

The calibre of nominations was exceptional, which made judging for the categories difficult, each nominee deserving in their own right.

Assistant Principal for Business Growth and Skills, Kelly Greevy, commented: “The Adult Skills and Apprenticeship Awards remind us that success is never defined by age or starting point, but by courage, commitment, and determination. I am incredibly proud of every nominee – you each represent the very best of ambition, resilience, and lifelong learning. Your journeys inspire not only those around you, but the future of skills and growth in our community. Well done to you all.”

Congratulations to all the winners and those who were shortlisted.
