Make Up students enjoy Zombie Halloween demonstration

29th October 2021

Level 3 Hair & Media Make Up students from Solihull College & University Centre recently enjoyed a zombie themed Halloween demonstration and Q&A.

The students welcomed James Mac – a previous ‘Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make Up Star’ participant for the demonstration. The students really enjoyed asking James about his time on the show and really enjoyed seeing the products in their kits used in a different and inspiring way to how they had used them previously.

After the workshop students created their own fashion meets zombie Halloween make-up. Student Alex Timms created this look with help from fellow students on photography and modelling duty.

The Hair & Media Make Up courses take place in the College’s new purpose-built make up studio – part of the Aspire Salons at the College’s Blossomfield Campus. Students get stuck in to a range of topics on the course including special effects, fantasy hair design, fashion and photographic make-up, face and body art, camouflage make-up, prosthetics and more!
