What will I study?

This course delves into the world of fine art by introducing students to a variety of new materials and innovative artmaking techniques. Students will have the opportunity to explore their creativity and expand their artistic skills through hands-on projects.This class is designed beginners and for aspiring artists who are eager to experiment with materials, challenge their creative boundaries, and gain a deeper appreciation for art.

By the end of this course, students will have expanded their artistic toolkit, gained a wider understanding of contemporary art practices, and developed a more refined personal style.

This course will include creating art with the use of chalks, charcoal, acrylics, collage, oil pastels and watercolours.

How will this course be delivered?

10 workshop sessions delivered by an exhibiting artist.

What qualifications will I get?

No formal qualifications. 

How will I be assessed?

Ongoing tutor assessment no formal examinations

What are the entry requirements?

You must be 19 years or older to join the course - Adults only.

What can I do after this course?

We offer a variety of courses throughout the year including art for well-being and art for leisure. We have experienced artists who have run their own exhibits and can advise on next steps.
