This course is ideal for anyone who has a love for flowers, or who enjoys cake decorating. This course can expand the scope for the cake decorator to broaden their skills when making wedding and celebration cakes. However this course is also ideal for students to enjoy creating beautiful flower displays for the pleasure and satisfaction it brings.
You will make a simple and easy life size spray of flowers depicting the season, within the 5-week course.
You will develop skills using tools, cutters and modelling techniques. Students will be working with flower paste. Students will gain confidence and move onto more complex skills in sugar craft as they improve and learn.
Practical class-based work lead by tutor demonstration.
This is a personal enrichment programme, to increase your wellbeing.
This course is for personal development and is informally assessed by the tutor with self-assessment and evaluation by the student.

The tutor will inform you on the first session of any tools and equipment that are required. The tutor will also have a list of suppliers where these will be available. Please bring a pen and notebook to every session.
Please note: Materials are not supplied for Cakes, Flowers/Floristry, Textiles, Soft Furnishings, Homemade Crafts, Calligraphy, Art, Cookery, Tiling, Painting & Decorating, Sewing or Dressmaking.
Students are responsible for providing their own ingredients and some equipment.
We also offer a range of craft courses for adults, as well as Wider Family Learning courses designed for adults and children to learn together.
