You will be proficient in altering a number of different garments and will have improved confidence in using a sewing machine.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who needs to carry out some simple alterations and repairs. The idea is to make you understand the process and the how to do it.
You can bring in garments that need repairing, taking in sides, taking in the waist, and shortening hems. You will also gain experience by using different techniques, tools and working with different types of fabrics.

You must be 19 years or older and you need to have basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine.
- Sewing machine are available to use but you are welcome to bring your own
- please bring your basic sewing tools: pins, tape measure, ruler, marking tools, thread, fabric scissors, seam ripper
1st session - pair of trousers please bring these with you (you will receive the full course details on your first session)
Move on to our Patchwork and quilting or another community course, or you may decide to start your own business.
