Where will this course lead?

This Employment Skills Workshop Programme is a short-term course designed to equip participants with the essential skills needed to secure suitable employment across a range of career paths. Its duration provides ample time to explore key topics in depth and develop practical abilities that are vital for succeeding in today's job market, helping you confidently apply the tools required to achieve meaningful, long-term employment.

What will I study?

There are various topics covered to prepare individuals to lead and team in different organisations and industries but focusing mainly on employability skills. You'll study a range of topics, including:

  • Understanding Employment & the Labour Market
  • CV and Application Skills
  • Interview preparation
  • Essential Workplace Skills (Soft Skills)
  • Confidence, Motivation & Self-Management
  • Digital Skills for Job Search

This will culminate with a personal development planning and employability skills workshop to aid application to gaining employment and/or finding suitable courses and qualification to continue education.

How will this course be delivered?

The programme will be 8 weeks in duration. Applications are open so please apply now!

To enrol on the course, you should:

  • Hold a West Midlands postcode
  • Be aged 19 or above
  • Income below £34,194

All resources and materials needed for the course will be provided. Attendance and participation in all sessions are mandatory to qualify for a certificate.
