This 50+ Routeway to Employment in Retail Programme is a short-term intensive program aimed at equipping participants with a broader understanding of retail. What will I study?
Provide essential workplace skills in a job-related setting and upskills to improve employability, interview techniques and CV writing. You'll study a range of topics tailored to customer service and hospitality, including:
- Customer service in the retail environment
- Communication in a business environment
- Developing working relationships with colleagues and customers
- Functional skills and understanding own capabilities through self-assessment
- Academic and digital skills

What are the entry requirements?
To enrol on the course, you should:
- Hold a West Midlands postcode
- Be aged 19 or above
- Income below £36,126 or unemployed
- Aged 50 years old or older

All resources and materials needed for the course will be provided. Attendance and participation in all sessions are mandatory.
