Where will this course lead?
This course provides a clear pathway into teaching within the Further Education (FE) and Lifelong Learning sectors. It prepares skilled trades professionals to take their first step into teaching learners aged 16 and above. Successful completion positions you to progress onto accredited teaching qualifications, paid teaching roles, or training roles within colleges, training providers, and apprenticeships.
What will I study?
You will explore the foundational skills needed to become an effective educator in FE, including:
- How to plan and deliver inclusive and engaging lessons
- Understanding different learning styles and needs
- Classroom management and creating a positive learning environment
- Supporting learners with special educational needs
- Using digital tools such as Nearpod, Teachermatic, and Microsoft applications
- Safeguarding responsibilities and professional conduct
- Observing live teaching sessions
- Planning and delivering your own micro-teach session

This is an 8-week introductory programme delivered through a blend of:

You'll receive a Certificate of Completion and support with CV building and job applications.
