Introduction to Art Techniques
Where will this course lead?
You can enrol on an art courses that provides more in depth teaching such as watercolours, pottery, oil painting or drawing. We also have a painting for mindfullness course you might like to consider.
What will I study?
This course will give you a chance to experiment with a variety of different art techniques the example course outline is below, please note this is subject to change.
Week 1: Create a landscape using pastels and baby oil
Week 2: Introduction to acrylic painting
Week 3: Mark making white pens on black paper
Week 4: Lino and monoprinting
Week 5: Woodburning
Week 6: Pen and ink
Week 7: Gifts made from plaster
Week 8: Make a Christmas card using a mixture ot techniques used so far
Week 9: Finish Christmas card
Week 10: Learn how to enlarge a picture using the grid system
How will this course be delivered?
As an informal workshop over 10 weeks.

No formal qualification

Tutor assessment throughout no exam
