A tutor from Solihull College & University Centre has recently had his artwork exhibited in Europe and featured in an art magazine.
Robert Hall is a montage artist and works by combining vintage photographs with detailed medical images.
Rob currently teaches foundation level and ESOL students at the College. Alongside his teaching, Rob has been following his passion to create and is having a lot of success.
He has been showcasing his work at the Social Glue Collage Festival in Schiedam in the Netherlands. The festival celebrates 750 years of the city and involves 40 artists from around the world.

Rob’s work has also been published in art magazine Revue Colle, which comments: “His work combines the layers of existence using the unique appearance of vintage photographs and detailed medical images. These elements serve as a gateway into the exploration of life, love, death, and what it means to be human.
“Through his art, he strives to create a visual narrative that connects the past with the present, inviting viewers to reflect on the complexities and beauty of the human experience.”
Rob says it was a real honour for his work exhibited: “Having my work shown in Europe at such a large event was an amazing experience and something I have always dreamt of doing. I teach art here at the college to Reach and ESOL students and am about to start delivering an art community course.
“It’s great that I can try and inspire people to reach their potential when it comes to art. I graduated from the Birmingham School of Art back in 2012 and then started my teacher training. I then had a break from creating and only recently started again. I’m hoping my art can be exhibited at other places across the world.”
Rob’s fine arts course for adults at the College starts Thursday October 9th at Blossomfield campus.
