What will I study?

You will study a Personal Growth and Wellbeing qualification to help you develop confidence and life skills. You will learn about emotional wellbeing, how to look after yourself, and build positive relationships. You will also become more environmentally aware and learn how to make good choices for the planet. The course includes learning about money, such as how to budget and save. You will take part in external learning experiences to practise your skills in real situations. You will also continue to improve your maths and English.

How will this course be delivered?

This is a one-year, classroom-based course delivered over four days a week. You will take part in a range of engaging activities, including coursework, sessions with guest speakers, and practical learning. The programme also includes work experience and work-related visits to different employers, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and gain real insight into the workplace.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be based on a combination of coursework and practical tasks.

How do I get a place on the course?

Please complete an application form and you will be invited in for an interview.

 

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal qualifications required. We will assess support needs and levels at interview.

What else do I need to know?

You will be expected to engage in offsite activities with employers, giving you valuable real-world experience, as well as actively participate in sessions with guest speakers to develop your communication and professional skills. These experiences will support your progression by helping you understand employer expectations and prepare you for a successful transition into your supported internship.
