Learners will leave the course with the confidence to engage more independently in Spanish when travelling and interacting with Spanish speakers.

What will I study?

This course is intended for learners who have completed both Spanish for Holidaymakers Part 1 and Part 2, or who already have a reasonable foundation in basic Spanish. It aims to improve fluency, confidence, and spontaneity when communicating in Spanish-speaking environments.

Learners will consolidate their knowledge of essential grammar and verb structures while extending their vocabulary across a range of travel, cultural, and social topics. Greater emphasis will be placed on conversation, listening comprehension, and responding naturally in everyday situations.

The course will also provide deeper insights into Spanish culture and the wider Spanish-speaking world, helping learners communicate more effectively and confidently during holidays and travel experiences.

How will this course be delivered?

Learning will be highly interactive and learner-centred, with an emphasis on practical communication and confidence building. Methods will include:

• Extended conversations and discussions
• Role-play of real-life travel situations
• Listening and comprehension activities
• Grammar and verb consolidation
• Pronunciation refinement
• Pair and group collaboration
• Cultural discussion and exploration
• Problem-solving activities based on realistic travel scenarios

Learners will be encouraged to use Spanish as much as possible during lessons, helping to improve fluency, understanding, and confidence in a supportive environment.

What qualifications will I get?

This is a personal development course.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be ongoing and informal, based on participation and progress throughout the course. Learners will demonstrate their skills through speaking activities, role plays, listening tasks and practical conversational exercises. Feedback from the tutor will help learners identify their strengths and areas for further development.
