This Veterans & First Responders Resettlement Plus Programme is a short-term intensive program aimed at equipping participants with skills to engage in the employment market. The duration allows for a thorough exploration of the subject matter and the development of practical skills crucial for success in all working areas and provide a solid basis to apply all the tools to gain gainful employment.

What will I study?

Provide essential workplace skills in a job-related setting and upskills to improve employability, interview techniques and CV writing. Topics covered include:

 

  • Self-awareness, self-assessment and transitional skills
  • Working in the civilian environment
  • Confidence & motivation building
  • Functional skills
  • Communication
  • Academic and digital skills

How will this course be delivered?

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of:

 

  • Theory-based tasks to test your understanding of key concepts
  • Practical, scenario-based activities to apply your skills in realistic setting

To enrol on the course, you should:

 

  • Hold a West Midlands postcode
  • Be aged 19 or above
  • Income below £34,194

What else do I need to know?

All resources and materials needed for the course will be provided. Attendance and participation in all sessions are mandatory.
