Solihull College & University Centre is thrilled to announce that it will be a delivery partner to the new Digital Technical Excellence College (DTEC), let by BMET, bringing new opportunities for young people and adults across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
This status means that Colleges and Independent Training Providers across the West Midlands will offer even more industry-leading courses and experiences in digital and technology subjects, including areas like artificial intelligence, cyber security, software development, and healthtech. Students will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, hands-on projects, and real-world placements with top employers – preparing them for the jobs of the future.
Principal of Solihull College & University Centre, Dr Rebecca Gater, comments: Becoming a delivery partner for the Digital Technical Excellence College is about much more than education in the classroom. This partnership will support young people starting their career journeys, adults looking to upskill or retrain, and local businesses who need the right digital expertise to grow. It builds on the success of the LSIF digital workstreams, where partners collaborated across the West Midlands and Warwickshire to develop high-quality, employer-led digital provision. By continuing to work closely with employers and using the latest technology, we’re helping learners of all ages gain practical, future-ready skills that lead to real opportunities across the region. We’re proud to be part of a West Midlands-wide approach that puts people, skills and future opportunity at the heart of regional growth.
