Where will this course lead?

This course is available to individuals who are employed within the care sector. The course will cover everything from communication and completion of records to the support, protection and well-being of others. Applicants will also develop their own knowledge and practice with in the health and social care industry.

Completion of this course will assist with your continuing professional development and career progression.

What will I study?

The course will cover everything from communication and completion of records to the support, protection and well-being of others. Applicants will also develop their own knowledge and practice with in the health and social care industry.

How will this course be delivered?

This course will be delivered in the workplace and at college and the programme of delivery will be agreed with your manager. Blended learning will be utilised to support your development. An electronic portfolio of evidence will be used.

What qualifications will I get?

Care Level 2 Diploma

How will I be assessed?

You will develop and produce a range of evidence that demonstrates your ability to work within the care sector. A range of evidences will be gained including written work/assignments, discussions, reflective accounts and observations of your working practice.

How do I get a place on the course?

Places are offered by interview; please contact the care centre to discuss suitability.

What are the entry requirements?

You will be required to undertake an initial assessment of your Math and English ability to ensure you have sufficient basic skills In English to be able to succeed with the written and academic work. You should be working at a level 2 or 3 standard and be employed as a care worker in an adult care setting.

What else do I need to know?

Initial diagnostic tests will be completed to ensure the correct level of course or identify if further support is needed.

What can I do after this course?

You may be able to progress to a level 3 Diploma in care if you are in a suitable role.
