Where will this course lead?

This Project Management through Effective Leadership course is aimed at project leaders and professionals who are looking to consolidate their knowledge and understanding of all key areas of leadership through the means of project management.

You'll learn how project management is shaped by leadership and shapes all interaction with stakeholders and how projects fit into a strategic and commercial environment.

Candidates are most likely working or have worked in a project environment with various levels of experience and is perfect if you are aiming to advance your career, enhance your employability, and/or gain a broad understanding of leadership and project management without focusing on a specific methodology.

What will I study?

The syllabus assesses breadth of knowledge in all areas of leadership and project management and covers knowledge areas including:

  • Project Planning & Governance
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Quality, Risk and issue management
  • Ethics, compliance and professionalism
  • Personal Effectiveness & Self-Management

How will this course be delivered?

The course delivery will be 12 weeks in duration with one evening a week. Applications are open so please apply now!

What qualifications will I get?

There is no formal qualification. However, could lead directly into completing a suitable qualification in either project management and/or leadership & management at a variety of levels.

How will I be assessed?

There is no formal assessment but will cover various assessment criteria including practice questioning in the source areas methods of assessment and will include a concurrent self-derived project delivery from source to closure.

What are the entry requirements?

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements you should be able to be able to complete the course in English (this would assume some developed skills in written communication and mathematics and the ability to access appropriate information though reference).

The course is usually aimed at those who have experience of leadership and/or projects but can also be used to promote interest in the subject areas with desire to move into the topic areas of leadership. Candidates should have:

  • Have a high interest in leadership and project management.
  • Have experience or work in a project setting and wishing to progress.
  • Have people management experience.
  • Have experience with projects or project development.

This course offers a versatile learning environment that caters to a broad range of applicants with varying levels of experience and career objectives.

What can I do after this course?

You can decide to progress onto an Operations Management course or apprenticeship at levels 5 or 6 and/or Project Management Degree, qualification or apprenticeship.
