Digital Innovators win Solihull Business of the Year

12th November 2020

Local training provider and College partner Digital Innovators were recently awarded Business of the Year at the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Solihull College & University Centre’s students have the opportunity to work with Digital Innovators alongside their course to build employability skills and give themselves an advantage in an increasingly competitive job market.

Digital Innovators have worked with the College for a number of years to help build students confidence, self-belief, leadership and digital skills. Partnering with the College, West Midlands Combined Authority, and others has seen many students access apprenticeships and career opportunities as a result of working with the organisation.

The awards were broadcast live from Chamber House in Edgbaston to businesses across the region. Digital Innovators were presented with the award live by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce chief executive Paul Faulkner.

Founder & CEO of Digital Innovators Mick Westman stated: “We are thrilled to have received this award that recognises the contribution we make supporting young people achieve their true potential. The relationship with the college has been instrumental in helping us understand the mindset and learning needs of students. By working together, we have been able to help young people secure apprenticeships and further education, even during the pandemic.”

There are now more than 500 young people that Digital Innovators supports aged between 14 and 25 in the West Midlands.
